Hello friends, family and legendary supporters of CCM (aka Christ Centered Ministries) (operated by Joseph Schrock) (under directions from God [Yahweh])!!
I'm taking some time this beautiful Tuesday afternoon to write to you an update from this last mission trip I was on in Suriname, South America. As I take time to reflect over what the Lord has done, I wanted to share with you as well so that you might be encouraged in the faith as well! So here are the three most memorable moments from the trip, and thank you for your support!!
In the field, Suriname
The Interior
The first week we went into the interior. (Beyond the roads, reachable only by plane or boat). We trained the locals how to preach, got them filled with the Holy Ghost, and sent them out! The first outreach we went to, because of the culture, we had to ask the chief for permission first. He said, "If you're going to preach the gospel you will have to preach to me first." So I was put on the spot, but I preached through a translator, shared the Gospel, and he gave his life to Jesus! Hallelujah!
Afterwards we went to another hut, a woman that was paralyzed from a stroke (very limited movement). We prayed and she was able to move her hands above her head for the first time in years! Praise the Lord!!
The Bar on Night Three
During the last week of their trip, we did a four-day crusade. Here are some of the most notable testimonies from there.
Pastor Kenneth and I were promoting the crusade around town on night three. By this time, it felt like the Spirit of God had settled over the whole city. We were promoting right by a bar, we stopped, and I started sharing the gospel with two men that were rolling a blunt. I shared with them the only reason they're smoking marijuana is because they are looking to fill a hole in their heart. As I shared with them my testimony of how I came to Jesus they gave their life to Jesus and put away their blunt! Their friend came up to us during the middle of our salvation prayer and told us outright "I want to give my life to Jesus because I can tell you guys carry something different. I feel it on me and inside of me". So we prayed with him and he gave his life to Jesus, the bartender came out and gave her life to Jesus, and then, as we were leaving, there were two men that had listened to almost the whole thing, I asked them, "Do you want to give your life to Jesus?" They said yes, so we led them to the Lord without even trying! Praise the Lord!
Dio
Dio is a man who had come to the crusade field every night. When he was a baby, his stepfather threw him over a wall, and he was significantly damaged on his left side. His left arm is crooked, and he had a hard time walking.
After the prayer for the sick, we took him to the prayer tent, and we started praying. A binding, twisting spirit left his crooked leg, and it was a lot lighter than it was. One of the intercessors that had known him for a while told me what happened with his father, so we walked through forgiveness and a spirit of unworthiness left him.
He left with his heart healed in a mighty way, he gave all of us a hug, and really there was so much joy! His arm is still crooked, but with the root gone, I believe his life is forever changed as his heart has been healed!!
